Last updated: October 4, 2026

MockupLite was built to solve a recurring headache faced by app developers and product teams: generating compliant, high-converting App Store and Google Play screenshots without complex design software.

Who builds MockupLite

MockupLite is built and maintained by Azmat Khan, an independent mobile app developer. It is a one-person project, not an agency or a large team: the same person writes the rendering code, draws up the device-frame templates, answers support email, and writes the guides on this site.

The guides exist because the official specifications for store screenshots are spread across several Apple and Google help pages and change every time a new device size arrives. Each guide is written from those official sources and dated, and is corrected when readers report something out of date. You can reach me directly at akazmatkhan345@gmail.com.

Our mission

Our mission at MockupLite is simple: enable app developers, indie hackers, and product design teams to create polished, store-compliant screenshot marketing packages in minutes rather than hours.

Preparing app store assets should not require wrestling with heavy design desktop suites or subscribing to overpriced recurring software. MockupLite delivers a streamlined, browser-native studio editor that handles pixel scaling, device framing, and PNG transparency flattening automatically.

Why MockupLite exists

Shipping my own apps, I kept hitting the same launch-day bottlenecks when preparing store listings for App Store Connect and Google Play Console:

MockupLite is my answer to those problems: one web studio where you design a screenshot set once and export it at the exact sizes each store asks for, with transparency already flattened.

How your screenshots are handled

You edit in the browser, but the device frames, shadows and 3D tilts are rendered on the MockupLite server so the output is identical on every machine. That means your screenshots are uploaded when you preview or export:

Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

How MockupLite is funded

Designing and previewing screenshots is free. Final full-resolution, watermark-free ZIP exports use prepaid export credits or an optional Pro plan, handled by a third-party payment provider. The free guides on this site are supported by advertising served by Google AdSense; ads are never shown inside the studio editor.

Built for developers & indie makers

Whether you are launching your first solo iOS app or managing release pipelines for an established Android product, MockupLite provides the visual tools and technical specifications needed to ship on time.

Common questions

What is MockupLite?

Who is MockupLite designed for?

MockupLite is built for iOS and Android app developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and indie hackers.

Does MockupLite support both App Store and Google Play sizes?
